That is pretty cool photo of the menu. Which pub would that be? (I imagine it would be overseas)
Geoff and I was commenting the other day about Royston's paper menu entailing the beers on tap. Geoff said that it would be better and more local feel if Royston adopted something like that handwritten menu on the wall instead of printed on paper.
Oh I like to reserve 4 Red Duck Bee Honey Porter :p

The photo is from Cafe Arendnest in Amsterdam. Very classy bar that specialises in dutch beers and has the whole range of the genuine Trappist La Trappe and the awesome local brewer T'iJ. We were there late last year. Despite what may be popular perception Amsterdam has some very good bars and as a beer drinking destination would stand up to any major centre in Belgian.
The Honey bee will be around for a while so just grab them off the shelf.
cheers

Genuine Trappist La Trappe? I am curious what prompted you to say "genuine" as is there a difference between the La Trappe beers Vintage Cellars stocks and the "genuine trappist la trappe" you mentioned?
Cafe Arendnest, on my visit when perhaps I visit the Netherlands (for family, as I am half dutch) at the end of next year (and yes some detour to belgium should be taken in account)

Sorry - when I said 'genuine' I was referring to the fact La Trappe is one of the 7 original Trappist brewers (ie along with Chimay, Orval, Westmalle, Archel, Westvleteran, Rochefort). I wonder how a supermarket bottle o' like VC gets hold of them.
